Princess Earring Fairy Song

poem by Cicely Mary Barker

blackboard drawing by teacher Juliana Nogueira

Oh, Princess Earring,
delicate flower,
that is a beauty
in the fairy ear!
So elegant and fine,
what princess is it?
Or will you be a ballerina
on tiptoe?
Rise, violet and red,
on the balcony wall,
sometimes in a greenhouse,
all white and pink.
With the most beautiful clothes,
in moonlit night,
she is ready
to the fairy ball!
