poem by Ruth Salles
Watercolor by Mônica Stein Aguiar
,
Clay joey kneads clay
in tiny balls,
manure joint, mane joint,
gather very fine straw.
Who helps is Joaninha!
They peck hammered
and build quickly
beautiful bread oven.
But where is the bread?
Ladybug and Clay John
quickly take three jumps
and, clearing his throat,
They sing with a laugh:
– Qui-ri-ri! Chi-ri-ri!
This is not an oven, no.
Chi-ri-ri! Chi-ri-ri!
It's our home!
Have two rooms! Who would say?
Because it's our home
and the eggs to come.
if it is necessary to increase
for a few more puppies,
we go up another floor.
And, pulling his throat,
they sing, they buck
Ladybug and Clay John.
