This is an autobiographical book by Ruth Salles. She had in her upbringing a strong influence from her family, both maternal and paternal. In Vamos, Maninha, Vamos… the author tells us about her coexistence, from the age of 6 to 17, with the family of her father, Herculano Sílvio de Miranda, in her grandparents' house in Canabarro, a suburb of the city of Rio de Janeiro, stage of many experiences and games with cousins and friends. “I received from my father's family an example of affection, simplicity and compassion that feed my soul to this day”. His maternal family, with seven uncles and aunts, teachers, musicians and writers, in addition to his mother, allowed him an intense cultural experience, which will be the subject of another book.
