Siegfried at Regin's Forge

Impressão ou PDF

condensate of the play “The Sword of Siegfried”

poem by Ruth Salles

Regin, Regin works at the forge,
in the furnace and on the anvil.
– Iron mesh, blacksmith, in the forge,
thread it and give it shape!

Siegfried, Siegfried, in the dense forest,
with Regin learn the secret arts,
the arts of everything that goes around the world.
From iron, in the forge, learn to forge
the thread and the leaf in the strength of fire.

Fafnir, terrible invincible dragon,
stole all the gold, kept the treasure.

– Forge, Siegfried, the sword in the forge,
shape the leaf, sharpen the wire in the strength of fire!
Put the iron on the beast!
Smite Fafnir!
