poem by Ruth Salles
Blim-blim-blim, don-don-don!
The bells ringing.
It's Christmas! what a beautiful sound
through the night to resound.
Joãozinho and Manuela
the crib are being assembled.
High above the new star
already in the sky is shining.
And Mary sings now
cradling Jesus Child,
but Joseph went outside,
feel the wind very thin.
Call the donkey and call the ox,
who have a very hot breath.
Here come all two
warm up the little boy.
With the wool of a little lamb,
honey and cheese and hot milk,
the little shepherds are coming,
each with their gift.
