He published his first book of poetry in 1954 and his second in 1960. In 1966 he began to collaborate with teachers at the Waldorf Rudolf Steiner school. He selected more than 200 texts by Portuguese-speaking authors, consistent with the pedagogy. He revised and re-translated over 400 poems and wrote over a hundred poems for pedagogical use. The author created more than 80 plays for elementary school and translated into Portuguese, and adapted, more than 40 classic plays. He also composed music for plays and poems, as well as lyrics for existing melodies. Ruth Salles passed away on 11/15/2021.

He has provided support and curatorship to the Ruth Salles Institute since its foundation. He collaborated with the translation, revision and final writing of more than 40 books of interest to Waldorf Pedagogy, for Escola Waldorf Rudolf Steiner and Editora Antroposófica. She also worked as a translator of children's books for the publishers Ática and Larrouse. There were dozens of books translated from English, German, Spanish, French and even Dutch, and he translated three literary works published by the Brazilian Academy of Letters. He wrote the book Do Mulungu ao Manacá – talking about the Brazilian flora, adopted in the 5th grade in Waldorf schools. Several books are yet to be published with other works created by her.
