Christian Morgenstern poem translated and recreated by Ruth Salles
In the bush there is a giant
that has a payphone,
and what do you find whispering
the rumble of thunder.
Seeing the bumblebee,
his hand he extended.
There was such a ruckus,
that the bush shook.
He lay down to sleep.
With the rain falling,
the payphone was filled,
and a lake appeared.
sheep and shepherd
go there to drink. How horrible!
So he turned around,
and it's all over.
