Introduction to parsing
poem by Maria Luiza Freitas Guimarães
My name is subject,
I am the owner of the piece,
if you come to challenge me
I drop you in the noose.
Get out of there you bastard,
you told a joke,
my name is predicate
without me you are nothing.
My friends let it go,
that the verb appeared,
subject and predicate
I'm the one in charge of you.
Friend, you just send
in the verb predicate,
but here is my land,
is a nominal predicate.
If the verb is linking
your reign is undone,
I'm the one in charge of him;
subject predicate.
Yeah, my people, in the syntax
we are the greatest,
no wonder they call us
of essential terms.
you are very snobbish
because they are essential
but they keep asking for help
to verbal complements.
I am the direct object,
of the verb am secretary
and I transit to him
without having an intermediary.
I am indirect object
And I'm not ashamed,
I only transit to the verb
taking the preposition.
Oh my complementary brothers,
we are also important.
after all we are
we have them as members.
nominal complement
I am with satisfaction,
always helping the name
I go with the preposition.
I was an essential term
called subject agent,
that was in active voice
in the passive it is different;
Today I am an integral term,
always agent I will stay,
I am passive agent
I come to the verb help.
