Projeto Dom da PalavraOn March 1, 2006, a new module of the Dom da Palavra project began, carried out in the municipality of Espírito Santo do Rio Turvo, in the interior of the State of São Paulo.

In 2005, the municipal education secretary, professor Cláudia Retz, had contacted us, interested in carrying out the project in her city, and asked us to present it to the Ministry of Education, in search of resources to make it viable. The Ministry approved the project and provided partial financial support. To complement the necessary resources, we have the support of Fundação Software AG, from Germany, and the city hall of the municipality of Paulistânia, whose teachers also participated in the first module of the project.

Espírito Santo do Turvo is located 320 km from São Paulo and has about 4,000 inhabitants. For the first time, we also carried out the project for kindergarten teachers. Forty-seven teachers from Espírito Santo do Turvo and 15 from Paulistânia participated, making up a kindergarten class and an elementary school class.

The training was carried out by teachers from Escola Aitiara, in Botucatu. For early childhood education, Ana Cecilia de Barros von Osterroht, Elbjorg KF Blaich, Marisa Cristina dos Santos and Sandra Regina Schorn act as trainers, and for elementary education, trainers Karla Christine de Figueiredo Neves and Valquiria Cassimiro da Silva.

Classes were held on March 1st to 4th, April 8th, May 6th, June 3rd, July 3rd to 7th, August 5th, September 2nd and October 9th and 10th, in a total of 78 class hours. for each class.
