Aesop's fable
An ant, in winter, put all the wheat it had caught during the summer in the sun. A famished cicada, seeing these provisions, approached him and asked him to give him some of the wheat; to which the ant replied
– “My friend, what did you do in the summer while I was working?”
– “I was singing in the woods,” replied the cicada, “so I had no time to get provisions.”
– “For if you sang in summer, dance now in winter.”
And picking up the wheat again, he laughed at the ant's idleness and improvidence.
