Aesop's fable

A certain donkey put on a lion's skin that he found on the way and scared all the animals, who fled at the sight of him. The ass congratulated himself for seeing himself so feared and respected, and even his master, who had been looking for him, thinking he was lost, was terrified when he saw him from afar. But then, noticing one of his large ears, which appeared under the lion's skin, he took off his disguise, gave him a beating, put his packsaddle on him, and mounted him.
