Aesop's fable

A certain man had a paw that laid a golden egg every day. Thinking that he would find in the entrails of such a profitable bird a large amount of the valuable metal, he decided to kill it. However, when he opened it, he was sadly surprised to see that inside it was perfectly like the other paws.
